The National Association of Bankruptcy Petition Preparers is a member-driven association. It is only as strong as its members and only as active as those members are involved in their profession and professional association. Individual members join the NABPP for various reasons. Among those reasons is the chance in getting involved with a number of activities that speak to their individual concerns as a professional. For years lawyers and others have been fighting against Congress for allowing non-attorneys to assist in the preparation of bankruptcy petitions. Now that Congress has allowed this freedom for the American people, its up to the petition preparers to come to full circle and be of assistance to our society. So, become a member of the NABPP you are exercising your rights as an American to help prevent abuse caused by the trustees on the citizens of the United States. The cost is very low, Chapter members will pay only $250.00 for the first year basic membership. ( does not include $19.95 per month for level I assistance.)
